Dr. Christy Betz
Dr. Christy Betz has been practicing in Camden County following her graduation from Tuskegee University in 1997. Dr. Betz started her career like many veterinarians, in a traditional animal hospital. After many years in that setting, she was ready for something different. In 2004, Dr. Betz set out on a new journey - clinic ownership. Betz Veterinary Services was born and Dr. Betz was then able to offer the best care in the comfort of her patient's homes with the use of a full-service mobile clinic. In 2017, she took the love of her patients one step further and opened a permanent, brick and mortar location in Kingsland. With the option of both mobile and in-clinic appointments, Dr. Betz is able to offer the best of both worlds. Additionally, Dr. Betz offers several types of alternative medicine such as acupuncture and “veterinary” chiropractic and is also certified in the use of Chinese herbals. She has completed over 200 hours of coursework in acupuncture and herbals and graduated from the only U.S. Department of Education accredited Veterinary “chiropractic” school.

VETERINARIAN
Dr. Katie Schlecker
Dr. Katie Schlecker grew up near Baltimore, MD on a small horse farm. She attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (aka: Virginia Tech), focusing on equine and small animal medicine during her time as a student. After graduating in 2016, Dr. Schlecker completed an equine ambulatory internship in Rochester, New York, and later moved east and began practicing small animal medicine just outside of Saratoga Springs. Recently, she and her husband, a submarine officer in the Navy, moved to the Kingsland area. Dr. Schlecker loves the variety that comes with veterinary medicine, but has special interests in ophthalmology, surgery, dentistry, and equine podiatry. In her off time, Dr. Schlecker enjoys trail riding, cycling, yoga, and cooking. She and her husband share their home with a menagerie of rescued pets (and adopted patients), including two dogs, two cats, and an Arabian mare. Dr. Schlecker is thrilled to join the team here, and is looking forward to providing care for the pets in our community
